About Ms. Morgan

Welcome to Ms. Morgan's Math Class! Learn more about Ms. Morgan's background, teaching philosophy, and dedication to student success in Erie, Pennsylvania.

My Background

I'm originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, and attended McDowell High School. Then I pursued my education at Slippery Rock University, where I earned my degree in Mathematics. I am now in a masters program at Slippery Rock University planning to graduate with my M.ed. My experiences have shaped my approach to teaching, focusing on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.

My Teaching Approach

My approach to teaching math is general but more question based. I ask my students what they need explained better, and I change my way of speaking to ensure clarity. I engage students with frequent questions to gauge their understanding and maintain their attention. I also incorporate movement and stretching breaks to keep them focused and energized throughout the class.

What Makes My Class Different?

My math class stands apart because I prioritize understanding over rote memorization. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in their learning. By fostering a dynamic and interactive environment, I ensure that they not only grasp the material but also develop critical thinking skills.

"I am always open to feedback from my students and committed to growing as a teacher. I strive to build a relationship with my students to better understand how they learn and how I can best support their academic journey."
